history is an underrated source of insight

I think history is interesting. It’s like binge-watching old seasons of current affairs – we get to go through a lot more drama all at once, and we get to learn a bunch of things about how and why things are they way they are. I’m using this blogpost to catalogue my progress in appreciating history.

My rough guesses:

Rome: 750BC to 400BC

Greek Civilization: 1000 BC?

Printing Press: (guess: 1600?) 1440

Renaissance: (guess: 1600s?) 1300 to 1700
