The Declutter Squad

Here’s an idea that’s been kicking around my head for a while- a declutter squad!

Pitch: All of us have too much junk in our lives, but we can’t be objective about what needs to go. We’ve been in the midst of the mess for too long to visualise an end to it, and we don’t have the will or the means to do it ourselves.

So 3-4 people come over- friendly and fun, but task-oriented- and we go through your junk with you. We’ll take pictures of memorabilia that needs to go (old stuffed toys and whatnot), chronicle the process, have a few laughs and sneezes. If you’re the sentimental sort, we could do like a scrapbook or something. (Not really my jam, but I can practically hear my girlfriend squealing at the thought.)

We’ll evaluate your junk- see if there’s anything that can be given away, anything that can be sold, anything that could be donated, and you’ll be left with a pristine room/closet/home and freedom from Stuff.

How? I think I’ll try doing this with close friends first lah, cause it’s quite a personal thing. But what do ya think?
