The Scorpion And The Frog

One day, a scorpion stood on the side of a stream and asked a frog to carry it over to the other side. “How do I know you won’t sting me?” the frog asked. “Because if I sting you, I’ll drown,” the scorpion replied.

The frog thought about it and realised that the scorpion was right. So he put the scorpion on his back and started ferrying him. But midway across the stream, the scorpion plunged its stinger into the frog’s back. As they both began to drown, the frog gasped, “Why?”

The scorpion replied, “because it is my nature.”

Ah, there seems to be some kind of “moral of the story” thing going on here?

It’s disputable of human nature because we have the ability of self-control and choice over our innate animal instinct.

this reminds me of the tendency people have when striving for their personal goals that in the process of reaching it, they may be aware that certain things shouldn’t be done because they are either wrong or simply aren’t nice, but do it anyway. people=shit, as slipknot titles a song of theirs.
