I tend to have a lot of thoughts at the same time.<\/p>\n
I try to comment on as many people’s livejournals and blogs as I can, even if I don’t really know them nearly as well as I wish I did. It heartens me every time somebody leaves a comment on something I write, because they must have put some thought into what I wrote and into what they had to say. In those few words, whatever they might say, what they’re really telling me is that I am not alone in this world even though it can really seem like it sometimes. The idea that some of you might feel that way yourselves- and much more strongly than I ever have- bothers me, because you are not alone- because I am here for you, and there are so many others too. Hold your head high<\/p>\n
A while ago, I wrote an entry on my blogspot about “being a hero”. I disappointed myself with that one because in one entry I managed to disregard everything that I had learnt undo all the progress I had made as a person. It was pompous, self-righteous, <\/p>\n
Sometimes I wonder about personal growth- regression can hit you when you least expect it- which is perhaps when you most deserve it? It’s when you get complacent and a little bit too comfortable with yourself and your world-view. I made a couple of bad decisions recently- elementary, simple ones that I expected to easily avoid by now. The realization of what had happened unsettled and terrified me- had all the growth I had perceived so far been imaginary, unsubstantial or futile altogether?<\/p>\n
