I just got my first Armchair Critic related hate-call.<\/p>\n
Somebody phoned me from a public phone at about 1:15 AM, and claimed to be a gig organizer asking us if we wanted to play in Australia. My first thoughts were that we’d most certainly not be able to make it, afford it, or really even bother about it. I played along and asked what it was about, and when.<\/p>\n
Suddenly the guy loses the accent and starts yelling vulgarities at me, asking me to get real and stop thinking we’re so big, lim peh kali kong ah cheebye ah… (chain continues for a good 30 seconds)<\/p>\n
Now this wasn’t really very funny. The guy sounded terribly pissed off and spiteful. Like as if I killed his family or something. The few times I’ve heard people yell like this weren’t pretty either.<\/p>\n
