this song is quite meaningful to me and i think it’s one of the most beautiful songs i’ve written- it’s about leaving your loved ones to pursue your dreams, and hoping that they’ll still be there for you when you return, whether victorious or defeated. It’s about having to know what’s on the other side, the thirst for knowledge, thirst for identity, the desire to understand yourself and your passion. If you’ve know Terranigma, there is some of that in this. If you’ve had strained ties with your loved ones because of your passion, there is some of that in this. If you’ve ever had to make a difficult decision, this is about that struggle. This song is intentionally straightforward. I can cry when I sing this.<\/b><\/i><\/p>\n
