2024nov5 I can never shake the sense that it\u2019s possible for me to do something I\u2019ve never done before<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There\u2019s a spectrum of possibility here<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I don\u2019t believe for example that I will one day randomly be able to bench twice my bodyweight or run a 4 minute mile without training<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But it is always possible for example to\u2026 try a new food, or go to a new location. those are maybe the easiest and \u201cleast consequential\u201d possibilities, though I use quotes because you never really know what the potential consequence of such a new thing is. you go to a new cafe and you might meet your spouse or you might be visited with inspiration for your magnum opus<\/p>\n\n\n\n
some things are in between those things. I suppose maybe it\u2019s contingent on the amount of preparation you\u2019ve done. Might be channeling the 4 kinds of luck here. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The possibility I\u2019m practically praying for is something like a great cascade through my work. The idea of finding some particular tangent, some angle from which everything feels fresh and exciting and sets off cascades<\/p>\n\n\n\n
