I’m currently working full-time at ReferralCandy.
I’m with the marketing team, and I’m responsible for anything content-related. My job is to get us more blog traffic and more leads, which subsequently translates to more signups and more revenue – which is how we keep the lights on, so we can continue to do the interesting work we’re doing, and develop the culture we’re enjoying.
Our ultimate goal as a team is to get lots of high-quality signups from retailers who benefit strongly from our product, making lots of referral sales. As we grow as a company, we plan to further use technology to supercharge natural word-of-mouth and human connection. If you like, you can learn more about our team’s beliefs and management style – we’re hiring!
My main personal project is writing @1000wordvomits – I’m aiming to cross 700 by the end of the year.
My original goal was simply to write 1,000,000 words. The original point of that was a “sheer volume” target. I knew that I wanted to be a writer, and I figured that a person who’d written a million words would be different from a person who hadn’t.
I’m now thinking of expanding into fiction and, really, writing anything that isn’t navel-gazey introspection. I think I might explore things in curiosities and then flesh them out on /1000/ before turning them into refined essays.
I’m working to expand Statement.sg‘s zine.
Which sells conversation-starter t-shirts, often with a Singaporean theme. I’m not involved in the day-to-day operations much, but I’d like to expand Statement into a media organization that writes about issues that are relevant or important to Singapore.
I’m working to improve this blog.
My main goal right now is to basically upload my entire mind (or as much of it that I’m willing to share) to my blog, and then connect the dots.
